Coin World reported that U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated in an interview with Fox Business Channel on Tuesday that as tariff revenues continuously flow into the U.S. Treasury, if the lower court's tariff lawsuit is ultimately appealed to the Supreme Court, the increasing fiscal revenues will make it difficult for the Supreme Court to rule against the Trump administration. Bessent said, "The more fiscal revenue there is, the harder it becomes for the Supreme Court to make a ruling that is unfavorable to us." This statement is in response to a case currently being heard by the Washington D.C. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. The case questions the legality of Trump's so-called 'reciprocal' tariffs, and also questions another set of tariff measures imposed on Canada, Mexico, and China in February of this year.
