Vietnam will pilot a digital asset exchange at the International Financial Center
According to Hashchain, the Vietnamese government has announced that it will pilot a digital asset exchange at the International Financial Center. Three legal measures have laid the foundation for the digital asset sector, including the resolution passed by the National Assembly to develop the financial center, the pilot program for the digital asset exchange submitted by the Ministry of Finance, and the new law that clearly defines asset categories. The Ministry of Finance is refining the relevant pilot policies and plans to submit them to the government in August, covering aspects such as issuance, trading, and management. Service institutions can independently choose the listed assets, giving priority to highly liquid varieties. The authorities emphasize that blockchain is the core infrastructure and will strengthen cybersecurity and risk management. The central bank is studying the model for a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
