Loss of 8,000 Bitcoin in Landfill – Search Efforts Halted
James Howells has ended his 12-year effort to find the hard drive containing 8,000 Bitcoin (worth £635 million) that was discarded in a landfill in Newport. The high court deemed the search as "like searching for a needle in a haystack," thus his request was denied again. He is now shifting to launch his own cryptocurrency called Ceiniog Coin, which is valued in relation to the hard drive.
