A Japanese firm dedicated to Bitcoin has once again added 518 BTC, bringing its total holding to over 18,000 BTC.
According to the X post from Simon Gerovich, the Chief Executive Officer of Metaplanet, the company has bought Bitcoin for $61.4 million, bringing the price per BTC to $118,519.

Following this acquisition, the company now holds 18,113 Bitcoin, collectively valued at $1.85 billion, and the cost per BTC has become $101,911.
As per the release by Metaplanet, the BTC yield of the company from July 01, 2025, to August 12, 2025, is 26.5%, and the yield of the company YTD is 468.1%.
The release also notes that on June 30, 2025, the company had 13,350 BTC, but by August 12, 2025 Bitcoin stash had reached 18,113 BTC.
