BounceBit has officially launched the public testnet for PrimeChain, its upcoming Layer-2 scaling solution built to handle high-throughput DeFi and gaming transactions. PrimeChain uses an optimized ZK-rollup architecture to batch thousands of transactions off-chain before settling them securely on BounceBit’s Layer-1.
The testnet supports instant transfers, sub-1 cent fees, and full EVM compatibility, making it easy for Ethereum and BNB Chain developers to deploy their apps with minimal code changes. Early testers have already deployed DEXs, lending platforms, and NFT marketplaces in under 24 hours.
PrimeChain is designed to be Bitcoin-aware, meaning it can natively interact with bBTC and BBUSD, allowing seamless integration of Bitcoin liquidity into high-speed dApps.
BounceBit’s roadmap suggests the mainnet launch could happen as early as November 2025, with ecosystem grants and incentives planned to encourage adoption from day one. If successful, PrimeChain could serve as the primary execution layer for high-frequency trading, gaming finance, and metaverse applications within the BounceBit network.
