PANews August 12 report, according to the SHIB ecosystem project Doge Killer (LEASH) team investigation, on August 11, 2025, the supply of LEASH increased by about 10% (approximately 10,765 tokens), despite previous claims that the supply was fixed and the rebasing mechanism was disabled. The reason is that the rebasing path through the pre-authorization contract is still effective, even though ownership has been relinquished.

The team proposed two solutions for DAO voting: one is to negotiate with the original developers to disable the path, and the other is to launch LEASH v2, adopting a new contract and completely removing the rebasing function. The team promised to release a detailed proposal and on-chain evidence package to ensure transparent decision-making in the community.

According to Coingecko data, the Doge Killer token LEASH has dropped 21% in the last 24 hours.
