🚨 Chairman of the White House Crypto Council Resigns
Bo Hines – former football player & crypto investor – has stepped down from his position as Chairman of the President's Advisory Council on Digital Assets to return to the private sector, but will continue to advise “czar” AI & crypto David Sacks.
Appointed in late 2024, Hines quickly met with over 150 industry figures, becoming a “bridge” between policy and the U.S. crypto community.
Patrick Witt – former OPM & Pentagon official – will succeed him, bringing governance and defense experience but having never worked in the crypto business.
The change comes as the Trump administration's second term aggressively promotes a crypto + AI strategy, with a new legal framework expected to be announced by the end of 2025.
💬 Will Witt maintain a “innovation-friendly” approach or prioritize security more?
