According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on August 12, reported by CryptoBriefing, Peter Thiel's investment group, co-founder of PayPal and Palantir, has acquired a 7.5% stake in the biotech company 180 Life Sciences (soon to be renamed ETHZilla). The company recently announced its transformation into an Ethereum treasury institution and completed the sale of $156 million in priority secured convertible bonds. Previously, the company also completed a private placement of $425 million.
This is the second investment by Thiel's investment group in the Ethereum treasury sector. Previously, the group held over 9% of shares in BitMine Immersion, currently the largest corporate Ethereum holder, which manages approximately $5 billion in Ethereum assets.
