👍 Trump’s Crypto Advisor Plans $760M Bitcoin Buy in a Single Order — and Will Film It
David Bailey, co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine and a prominent figure in the U.S. Bitcoin community, has announced on X (formerly Twitter) that on August 12 he will fulfill his “longtime dream” — purchasing Bitcoin worth $1 billion in a single order. He clarified that the actual amount will be $760 million, jokingly calling it “a generous round-up,” and confirmed the entire process will be recorded on video.
Bailey’s company, BTC Inc, owns Bitcoin Magazine and organizes the largest crypto conferences in the United States. In 2024, Donald Trump was a keynote speaker at one of these events, while in 2025 the stage was taken by Vice President JD Vance. Bailey also served as a crypto policy advisor for Trump during his presidential campaign.
