:: Bitcoin Price Today

Bitcoin rose on Monday, continuing a strong recovery since last weekend as cryptocurrency markets welcomed an order from U.S. President Donald Trump allowing pension funds to invest in the sector.

Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency in the world, also advanced after surpassing the $4,000 level last week, remaining close to the all-time highs recorded during the 2021 bull run.

Cryptocurrency prices more broadly experienced mixed performance after the initial gains following the strong showing since last weekend, particularly after Trump's executive order.

Bitcoin increased by 1.2% to $119,910 by 4:56 PM Saudi time. The largest cryptocurrency in the world first reached a high of $122,370 - near the record level set in mid-July that exceeded $123,000 - before retreating below $120,000.
