Binance News shares that the Infini group has resorted to the blockchain to personally tackle the recent $49.5 million exploit. In their on-chain announcement, they called on the attacker to refund the pilfered funds no later than 20:00 (UTC+8) on August 13. In a surprising show of good faith, Infini offered the attacker the option to keep all generated proceeds as a white hat bounty, as long as the assets are returned within the deadline set.
The group further committed to waive any legal action and make a formal written announcement of leniency, essentially giving the exploiter a clean slate. The move is meant to end the fiasco quickly while protecting user trust. By providing a clear avenue for redemption, Infini wants to use a hurtful breach as a chance for collaborative resolution before the countdown ends.
