✅ Patrick Witt, deputy director of the council and its vice-chairman, is likely to become Hines' successor.
Hines will continue to work as a special government employee, collaborating with the White House's AI and cryptocurrency coordinator David Sachs on artificial intelligence projects.
👉 During his tenure, he helped shape U.S. cryptocurrency policy, proposed reforms, and supported the creation of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
