Harvard Invests $117 Million in Bitcoin ETF, Surpassing Google Stock

According to SEC filings, University #harvard is holding nearly $117 million in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (as of the end of Q2/2025), making it the school’s fifth-largest investment – ahead of Alphabet (Google) with $114 million.

Harvard’s largest portfolio currently includes: Microsoft ($310 million), Amazon ($235 million), Booking ($182 million), Meta ($120 million), Bitcoin ETF ($117 million), followed by Alphabet ($114 million) and NVIDIA ($104 million). The school’s total assets under management (AUM) reached $84 billion.

Harvard is also the 29th-largest holder of Bitcoin ETFs of #BlackRock⁩ out of more than 1,300 institutions that own this type of fund. The move reflects Bitcoin’s growing appeal to major US institutions.

The backdrop is further bolstered by President $TRUMP ’s recent executive order allowing US pension funds – which control $12.5 trillion in assets – to invest in alternative assets such as private equity, real estate and cryptocurrencies, paving the way for a massive inflow of capital into crypto. #anhbacong
