BlackRock’s Possible Solana ETF Raises Fairness Concerns

Talk of BlackRock launching a Solana (SOL) ETF has sparked debate among analysts. James Seyffart argued it would be unfair for BlackRock to enter alongside smaller issuers like VanEck, Bitwise, and Grayscale, who have been working with the SEC since 2024 to get approval.
Some believe BlackRock might skip a Solana ETF altogether and instead focus on a crypto index product or stick to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), which dominate nearly 90% of the market cap. While Solana ETFs may not rival Bitcoin’s popularity, there’s still room for growth.
