#USFedBTCReserve #USFedBTCReserve In March 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order for the creation of a "Strategic Bitcoin Reserve" and a "U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile."

The primary source for this reserve will be Bitcoin seized by the federal government in criminal and civil cases. The government will not purchase new Bitcoin from the market. The Treasury and Commerce departments are authorized to develop budget-neutral strategies to acquire additional Bitcoin, provided it does not create extra costs for taxpayers.

The management of this reserve will fall under the Treasury Department, not the U.S. central bank (the Fed). The Fed's policies on cryptocurrencies continue to focus on risk management within the banking system, stablecoin regulations, and supervisory activities.

This development shows that Bitcoin is being recognized as a strategic asset by the U.S. government, but adding Bitcoin to the Fed's own balance sheet is not currently on the agenda.$BTC
