On August 7, 2025, the "Anchoring the Future of Web 3.0 Summit and RWA Research and Technology Achievement Release Conference" was successfully held in Hong Kong. The world's first RWA registration platform, guided by the Hong Kong Web 3.0 Standardization Association, was officially launched, and the first batch of global strategic cooperation agreements was signed. Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Leung Chun-ying, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Hui Ching-yu, President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Choi Kwan-shun, Legislative Council member Huang Kam-hui, Legislative Council member Huang Jun-shuo, and representatives from foreign consulates in Hong Kong from Australia, Belgium, and South Africa attended the conference.

This summit was hosted by the Hong Kong Web 3.0 Standardization Association, organized by Ant Digital Technology, co-organized by AI MallTech, and supported by the AIoT Research Institute of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the IEEE Computer Society Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Standardization Committee. Li Ming, Executive President of the Hong Kong Web 3.0 Standardization Association, Vice Researcher at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Chairman of the IEEE Blockchain Standards Committee, delivered a welcome speech. President Li Ming pointed out that since its establishment in January 2024, the Association has consistently adhered to the purpose of supporting the government, serving the industry, building consensus, standardizing the ecosystem, building platforms, and promoting innovation, using standardization to help Hong Kong's Web 3.0 technology breakthroughs, application innovation, and ecosystem development. Currently, the Association has gathered nearly 30 member units and completed 2 research reports, 3 group standards, initiated 4 international standards, built the RWA registration platform, and organized a series of industrial activities and summits with hundreds of industry experts in stablecoins, RWA, Depin, and DeFi. In the future, the Association will continue to uphold the concepts of openness, collaboration, and innovation, promote the internationalization and toolization of standards, summarize Hong Kong's best practices while establishing a global exchange and cooperation platform based in Hong Kong, and expand Hong Kong's influence in the global Web 3.0.

The Hong Kong Web 3.0 Standardization Association should use standards as a basis to provide a closed-loop solution for the digitalization, assetization, and financialization of global real-world assets.

Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Hui Ching-yu, pointed out that the SAR government is committed to making Hong Kong a global leading digital asset center, creating an innovative and thriving market environment to solve pain points for the real economy and create substantial benefits for the financial market. Hong Kong has achieved significant results in the field of tokenization and provided replicable examples for the global financial market. In the future, the Hong Kong government will continue to cooperate with regulatory agencies and the industry to formulate a comprehensive legal and regulatory framework to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of Hong Kong's digital asset ecosystem.

Cai Guanshen, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that Hong Kong, as an international financial center, has a solid foundation in the fields of Web 3.0 and RWA, being able to leverage the market of 1.3 billion people in the motherland while connecting to the global market. Through RWA and Web 3.0 technologies, the transformation of traditional "capital channels" into a global financial "central nervous system" will assist in the internationalization of the Renminbi, add liquidity support to national foreign exchange reserves, and inject new vitality and confidence into the global capital market.

Huang Jin-hui, a member of the Fourteenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Legislative Council member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, pointed out that the Hong Kong government actively promotes the development of the Web 3.0 ecosystem, with policies such as the VASP licensing system and RWA sandbox laying a solid regulatory foundation for industrial development. In the future, the focus will be on a four-dimensional strategy of "regulations first, standards leading, technology supporting, and business innovation," relying on standardized tools to dynamically adapt to industry needs and promote the establishment of an efficient, robust, and flexible regulatory model in Hong Kong.

At the meeting, the association signed strategic agreements with 16 institutions to jointly promote the orderly development of RWA technology and industry.
