$XRP Targets New All-Time High Amid Ripple–SEC Progress Positive market sentiment has pushed XRP up to $3.38. Ripple and the US SEC have asked the Second Circuit to reject appeals, signaling potential progress toward resolving their long-standing legal battle. A bullish MACD purchase signal adds momentum to XRP’s upward move. Following the SEC’s announcement of a possible resolution to its five-year litigation, speculative demand drove Ripple (XRP) to $3.38 on Friday. The cross-border payment token is now rallying toward its all-time high of $3.66 set on July 18, entering a new price discovery phase. Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty noted in court filings that each party must cover its own expenses—this petition is a significant step toward settling the dispute. The SEC sued Ripple in 2020 for selling unregistered securities, but in 2023, a key ruling cleared programmatic XRP sales on Binance and Coinbase, holding Ripple liable only for direct institutional sales. In recent months, Ripple and the SEC explored settlement options, especially after Ripple was fined $125 million held in an interest-earning escrow. They agreed on a $50 million settlement earlier this year. However, Judge Analisa Torres denied a joint petition to end the case due to procedural issues. The SEC must submit status reports by August 15 as part of the ongoing process. After hitting an intraday high of $3.38, XRP is consolidating around $3.36, with token interest rising following the SEC’s joint motion report on Thursday. Key support levels include the 50-EMA at $3.07, 100-EMA at $3.06, and 200-EMA at $2.95.
