The White House is preparing for President Donald Trump to nominate Stephen Miran, the current Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, to serve as a Federal Reserve governor.
Miran would fill the seat left vacant by Adriana Kugler, whose term expires on January 31, 2026. Trump announced on Thursday that he would nominate Miran to serve temporarily until January 2026.
