BlockBeats reports that on August 7, Tether announced that it has acquired a minority stake in the digital asset platform Bit2Me and led a financing round of 30 million euros, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. This financing will be used to support Bit2Me's expansion within the EU and strengthen its business operations in Latin America, particularly in Argentina.
Previously, Bit2Me became the first Spanish-speaking cryptocurrency asset service provider (CASP) authorized by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), complying with the relevant requirements of the European Union (Regulation on Markets in Crypto-assets) (MiCA). After obtaining the MiCA license, Bit2Me can legally operate in all 27 member states of the EU.
