Price analysis $BTC was conducted based on data from last November in search of clues about how high the Bitcoin rate could rise if the recent history of the bull market repeats.

Key points:

  • $BTC is attempting to retest a support level that is very similar to the one that was in late 2024.

  • Last time the price $BTC rose from $70,000 to $108,000 after a successful retest.

  • Separate analysis does not suggest a return to recent lows in fluctuations.

Bitcoin's price dynamics could lead to a new rise of 50% if the key support line holds. The BTC/USD pair is repeating its breakout at the end of 2024.

Bitcoin is in an 'interesting place' during the retest of support

Price comparisons for Bitcoins continue to emerge as market participants see similarities between the current market structure and earlier phases of a bullish trend. The focus is on movements that led to the BTC/USD pair overcoming the historical high of $73,800 in November 2024. Just like then, the pair is trying to retest the resistance line as support after its initial breakout. After a successful passage, price discovery began.

The situation in August 2025 is different. The trend line is now upward rather than downward, while external factors, such as macroeconomic hurdles in the form of US tariffs, continue to affect appetites for risky assets.

Everyone agrees that the BTC price will ultimately choose a direction after a week of reduced volatility.

Are there no new BTC price lows?

As for the comparison of historical prices, there may still be good news for the 'bulls'.

The analysis has already disproved the idea that Bitcoin could repeat its behavior from the beginning of the year, when historical highs triggered a price drop of 30%.

Instead, the peak of $109,300 reached in January is viewed as final support.

In another observation this month, a pattern was seen that included fluctuations in lows, the latest of which occurred on Friday when the BTC/USD pair briefly fell below $112,000.

When lows were observed in April and June, in both cases a bottom was formed that was not reached again.
