There are multiple reasons around this with a common theme ie Trump's lobbyists are getting desperate to expand business and that's not happening.

How:

1. Trump saw $1 trillion opportunity of reconstruction business in Ukraine so he made poll promise that he will bring ceasefire in 24 hrs after assuming power.

Didn't happen.

Trump's attempt to pause the war has failed. He tried back channeling through China and India. None of them paid any attention. China might have shown bit interest but not India.

He has been asking Indian backchannel to convince Putin for ceasefire or India will stop buying Russian crude oil.

As expected he threatened India and China both with tariffs if they don' comply.
