🚨 Donald Trump announced the introduction of additional tariffs of 25% for India – executive order
**Reason:** Buying/selling Russian oil.
**From the White House statement:**
- The US administration may impose similar tariffs on other countries importing Russian oil.
- The actions and policies of the Russian government continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to US national security and foreign policy.
- If the Russian government takes significant steps to address the emergency and sufficiently aligns with US positions on national security, foreign policy, and economic issues, Trump may further amend this order.
- The US Secretary of Commerce, in coordination with the Secretary of State, will determine whether any other country directly or indirectly imports oil from the Russian Federation. If the Secretary of Commerce finds that a country imports oil from Russia, tariffs of 25% may also be imposed.
