There are two types of trading methods in the market: buying more as prices fall or buying more as prices rise; many people do not understand this.

1. Buying more as prices rise belongs to the technical camp, mostly doing right-side trading, focusing only on upward trends. This method is more suitable for retail investors with small funds, allowing for flexible entry and exit. It’s better to buy after the upward trend is established for a higher success rate. This method has high requirements for entry points; you should try to buy at the beginning of the rise. The earlier you enter, the better. Buy at the relative low points of the upward trend (note that this does not mean the absolute lowest point; attempting to catch the bottom is a form of greed and often leads to disastrous outcomes). If the price has already risen significantly and is about to peak, and you keep buying as it rises, it will lead to a high average purchase cost. If there is no stop-loss or take-profit strategy in place, being trapped is inevitable.

2. Buying more as prices fall belongs to the fundamental camp. Value investors prefer to do left-side trading. Large capital operations often use this method to gradually increase their positions. If you wait until prices rise before buying, the cost will be too high. Start buying more as prices fall before an upward trend appears, provided you have accurately analyzed and calculated the fundamentals and valuation of a coin. The entry point must be low enough to allow for a sufficient safety margin, and each time you add to your position, the purchase price should be sufficiently spaced apart.
