Elon Musk asks Grok: Can Bitcoin be hacked?

Elon Musk recently asked Grok (the smart chat robot from Company X) whether it is possible to hack the security of Bitcoin using quantum computers. This came after IBM announced its plans for a powerful quantum system, "Blue Jay," by 2033.

Grok replied that Bitcoin is currently secure. He explained that the chances of quantum computers breaking Bitcoin's SHA-256 encryption by 2030 are less than 1%, and less than 10% by 2035. Current quantum systems are very weak - only about 1,000 noisy qubits, while millions will be needed.

Grok added that stronger algorithms like SHA-3 or SHA-512 may replace SHA-256 in the future.

Fun fact: Tesla holds 11,509 Bitcoins (about $1.31 billion), while SpaceX is valued at about $850 million. Musk also owns Bitcoin.
