LTC Surges 8% Amid General Market Pullback, BTC Falls Short of $116K: Market Overview
Bitcoin's slow recovery was interrupted before reaching the $116,000 mark, with the asset losing a few grand in recent hours. Most altcoins, including TON and ENA, are also recording substantial losses. Litecoin (LTC), however, bucks the trend with an 8.5% increase to over $120. Bitcoin's rise was halted last week when it fell from $119,000 to under $116,500 after the US Federal Reserve left key interest rates unchanged for the fifth consecutive time.
Although it regained some ground, it was subsequently pushed down to $112,000, its lowest in over three weeks. While Bitcoin managed to prevent a further drop to and below $110,000 and gradually regained some ground, it has been pushed down to $114,000. Consequently, its market cap has declined to $2.270 trillion and its dominance over the altcoins is once again below 60%.
