Today Succinct is going to be listed on Binance ALPHA, and the airdrop is coming soon. I have researched this project for a while, and it is indeed different from general ZK projects.
In simple terms, previously developing ZK applications was like writing assembly language, with an absurdly high barrier to entry, only a very few cryptography experts could participate. But Succinct's SP1 zkVM makes this as simple as writing regular code; developers can just write logic in Rust or TypeScript, and the ZK proofs are generated automatically without needing to understand the circuits.
Succinct is not a Rollup on any specific chain, but rather a kind of “ZK cloud service.” Any chain, bridge, L2, AI model, or Web2 enterprise that needs privacy computing or verifiable results can connect to its Prover network. $PROVE is the settlement token for the entire network, used to pay for and stake proof computing power, somewhat like a ZK version of ETH.
If ZK is the future, Succinct could be the “king of infrastructure” on this path. Friends who are interested are advised to learn more about it; generally, there is a low point a few minutes before the airdrop, which could be a good time to get in.
