The Central Bank of the UAE has released a report on its plan to launch the digital dirham, after years of development and testing.
The digital dirham will be a comprehensive application that facilitates payments such as:
🔹 Peer-to-peer transfers (P2P)
🔹 Online and in-store payments
🔹 Transactions between businesses and customers (B2C)
🔹 Transactions between businesses (B2B)
🔹 Government payments to citizens (G2C)
🔹 Supporting the digital economy through programmable features
