OpenMind completes $20 million financing, led by Pantera Capital, promoting intelligent machine collaboration network
According to reports, OpenMind, a smart machine infrastructure company headquartered in Silicon Valley, has completed a $20 million financing round led by Pantera Capital, with participation from multiple institutions including Ribbit, Sequoia China, Coinbase Ventures, and DCG. OpenMind was founded by Stanford University professor Jan Liphardt and is dedicated to building a universal operating system for smart machines and a decentralized collaboration network, facilitating safe mutual trust and information sharing among different manufacturers and types of robots globally. Its core products include the OM1 operating system and the FABRIC collaboration protocol, the former endowing robots with perception and action capabilities, while the latter provides cross-platform authentication and secure collaboration. This financing will be used to expand the engineering team and promote the application of OM1 and FABRIC in scenarios such as autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, and elderly care. Pantera Capital stated that OpenMind is constructing an open intelligent network for the robotics industry, with potential significance comparable to that of Linux for open-source software.
