Elon Musk Asks Grok: Can Bitcoin Be Hacked? 🤖💥
Elon Musk recently posed an interesting question to Grok, X’s AI chatbot — Can quantum computers break Bitcoin’s security?
This came shortly after IBM revealed plans for its powerful quantum system, “Blue Jay,” expected by 2033.
Grok’s response? Bitcoin is safe for now.
It estimated that the odds of quantum computers cracking Bitcoin’s SHA-256 encryption are:
🔒 Less than 1% by 2030
🔒 Under 10% by 2035
Current quantum machines only have around 1,000 noisy qubits — far from the millions needed to pose a real threat.
Grok also noted that in the future, Bitcoin might upgrade to stronger algorithms like SHA-3 or SHA-512 for added protection.
💡 Fun Fact:
Tesla owns 11,509 $BTC (~$1.31B),
SpaceX holds around $850M,
And Musk himself is a Bitcoin holder too.
