Although Cathy’s Binance Square creator account has climbed to the 5th position on the global leaderboard, as a creator who writes analyses on the blockchain gaming track, it actually feels like she made the list because she has become a 'rare species', benefiting from Binance Square's content rating algorithm.
Looking at the blockchain gaming themed content I wrote over the past few days, the views are far less than the views of my other themed posts.
The post with the highest views about blockchain gaming is about the Seraph game's in-game drop of USD 1, which has 12.3k views. The analysis post I wrote today about Solana's first blockchain game, Star Atlas, only received a few hundred views.
On the other hand, a casual post I made about a grok that generated a profile picture for me has 32k views, followed by a post about Hong Kong stablecoins with 23.1k views, as well as a post about Brother Sun going to space with 10.1k views, and a post about the decrease in market share for Trump's WLFI at USD 1 with 7.8k views.
It is evident that Binance Square does not really consider the number of views when ranking content for creators, but rather evaluates content quality. As long as one writes substantial content, even if the track is cold and the views are low, a high ranking can still be achieved.
Kudos to Binance Square's content ranking algorithm; although niche tracks may not have much heat or popularity, as long as someone is steadily building, they can still rise up the ranks.
Now we will see the amount of token rewards for the top 100 creators from Binance Square tomorrow, August 5th. If it is a lot, I estimate that many creators will continue to write diligently and climb the ranks; if it is little, some may have to give up on climbing the ranks and focus on completing tasks for various projects instead.
Currently, there are no blockchain game projects on the Binance Square creator task board that are sending tasks and rewards to the top 100 creators on their respective lists.
Those projects are only slightly related to the blockchain gaming track that Cathy focuses on, and the relationship is not significant, so Cathy is also not interested in climbing the rankings of these projects. She has directly given up writing about them and continues to write posts about blockchain gaming themes that do not have high views.
