Today I want to try the new content announced after the game update of Star Atlas, which claims to be the number one chain game on Solana. After trying it out, I am a bit discouraged.
1. Star Atlas currently has three games in total. The main game is the PC version, which is supposed to be released on the Epic Game Store. However, since the official announcement on September 30, 2022, about its upcoming launch on the Epic Game Store, it still shows 'soon' and 'add to waitlist' status on the store, with no official release yet. Today, the official announcement in the game's Discord community mentioned that they are still in the early stage of game development (see image one).
After the announcement of the game update on July 31, some early access was granted to players. Players can redeem early version download access by entering the following code in the Epic Game Store:

2. The second game, Star Atlas Holosim, is a web game currently in beta testing. It can be accessed without a whitelist, and like the usual setup, it is a space battle game that requires purchasing starships, forming teams, and battling. The trailer looks quite good. However, the game is entirely in English, with no Chinese localization. The only option to connect a wallet is through the Ledger wallet shown in image two; there is no Metamask or OKX wallet available, no @WalletConnect .
---I want to ask how many Chinese users connect their wallets using Ledger when logging into the DApp? I personally have never used it.
3. The third game is Star Atlas Sage Labs. I tried to enter to see how the game works, but the first step requires using Ledger to connect the wallet, and I was blocked again (see image three).
4. The Chinese community in the game's Discord is very quiet. The last message discussion before the announcement of revival in July was on June 30. Sister Cathy left a message asking one of the players to add her to their WeChat group but has not received a response yet.
It’s lamentable that this previously popular Solana chain game project is really out of touch with Chinese chain game players in 2025. It seems they are also out of touch with Southeast Asian chain game players, and currently, they are just operating in Europe and the United States?
