WhatsApp is introducing a new feature allowing users to interact with Meta AI via real-time voice chats, making it more accessible for those who are multitasking, driving, or have mobility limitations. This feature is available to select beta users on iOS (version 25.21.10.76 via TestFlight), with a broader rollout expected soon.
Users can start voice chats by tapping the waveform icon in the Chats tab or from the Calls tab. The interface includes prompt suggestions and lets users share images during chats. Voice sessions can continue in the background while using other apps.
