🚨 Ripple submits an official request to establish a limited-purpose national bank!
The well-known analyst in the cryptocurrency community, WrathofKahneman, revealed the first public part of a request submitted by Ripple to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to create a limited-purpose trust national bank.
🔍 What is the goal of this bank?
The request indicates that the bank will be dedicated to holding RLUSD (Ripple USD) reserves and creating an organized infrastructure for tokenized financial products.
🎯 And not for ordinary users!
The new bank will not offer loans or accept deposits, but will be limited to trust services for businesses (B2B). This places it outside the scope of certain regulations like the CRA.
❗️What about XRP?
The surprise is that the request does not mention XRP at all! It seems that Ripple is trying to separate the banking license from its digital currency to avoid regulatory complications. However, this does not mean that the integration of XRP in the future is entirely out of the question.
🔐 Some parts of the request remained confidential, prompting speculation that Ripple is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
💼 Summary: Ripple is steadily moving towards establishing an organized financial framework to manage the infrastructure of digital tokens, and this step could pave the way for direct access to the federal reserve later!
