The artist Valentina Picozzi has announced a reward of 0.1
#BTC for information leading to the recovery of the stolen statue.
She stated: *"You can steal our symbol, but you can never steal our souls."*
The statue, created by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi, featured optical illusions of "disappearing stripes" that made Satoshi appear to dissolve. It was unveiled on **October 25, 2024**, as part of a joint initiative by **Plan ₿ Lugano × Tether**.
There are suspicions that the statue may have been dumped into a nearby lake, as surveillance cameras are installed throughout the area.
