SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦: MALEMA DENOUNCES AFRICA'S SUBMISSION
Julius Malema, leader of the South African party Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), once again criticizes African leaders for their submission to Western powers, particularly the United States.
According to him, President Ramaphosa's recent visit to Washington only served to please the West, instead of defending true African priorities such as debt relief or reforming the global financial system. He also denounces the American tariffs, deemed unfair, which hinder Africa's development by maintaining economic dependence: exporting raw materials and buying expensive finished products.
👉 Solutions proposed by Malema:
Strengthen intra-African trade through the African Free Trade Area.
Align with BRICS to have more influence on the global stage.
Regain control of natural resources so that their benefits return to the African people.
But some believe that a sudden break with the West would be risky. Africa, still dependent on foreign investments, could suffer as a result.
🔎 So, what to do?
Should Africa continue to beg from wealthy countries despite its immense resources? Is it time to break the chains of dependence? Or should it still cooperate with the West, but differently?
