BNB (Build and Build), originally known as Binance Coin, is the native cryptocurrency of the BNB Chain ecosystem, developed by Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges. Launched in 2017, BNB initially operated on Ethereum but later migrated to its own blockchain. It serves multiple purposes: paying trading fees on Binance at a discount, participating in token sales on Binance Launchpad, and powering decentralized applications (dApps) on BNB Smart Chain. BNB is also used for transaction fees, staking, and governance. Its deflationary model includes periodic coin burns to reduce supply. Over time, BNB has evolved from an exchange token to a core utility asset across a growing blockchain ecosystem.
