In 2025, WalletConnect reached a major milestone: over 16 decentralized relay nodes are now live. These nodes:
• Route encrypted messages between users
• Require WCT tokens to stake and participate
• Earn rewards based on performance
No payloads or wallet addresses are stored — everything is end-to-end encrypted, ensuring strong privacy.
This relay network forms the backbone of WalletConnect’s decentralized infrastructure — and it’s already up and running.
With public onboarding coming soon, WCT becomes the key to both access and rewards.
