I have been learning candlestick patterns since last few weeks and their impact on price action.

To be very honest, they hardly behave the way their impact is taught or what I have learnt. Have you people ever observed this thing ?

I mean, for example, take hammer stick pattern which is supposed to reverse the existing trend, but I have seen in many cases, hammer doesn't do that. Am I correct or Do O lack i understanding pf these patterns ?
