🇻🇳 The number of Vietnamese investing in Crypto is double that of Stocks
As of the end of 2024, the whole country has about 17 million people owning cryptocurrencies, nearly double the number of stock accounts.
According to reports from Triple-A and Chainalysis, Vietnam currently ranks 7th globally in cryptocurrency ownership rate and 5th in terms of prevalence.
Notably, in the first quarter of 2025, the keyword “crypto” surpassed both “real estate” and “stocks” in search volume on Google Vietnam.
Among them:
- The majority are males, aged 18–24, tech-savvy.
- 60% are “holders”
Importantly, nearly half of those with an income below 500 USD/month often face losses, while the group with higher income has better results.
