This September, Taipei will transform into a global stage for financial technology and blockchain ecosystems, hosting three major international forums over six consecutive days — FinTechOn 2025 & AFA Summit, Blockchain Enthusiasts Annual Conference (TBS), and Taipei Blockchain Week (TBW), covering three main themes: policy, technology, and community, connecting over 200 speakers from home and abroad, a scale that can be considered the largest in history.

The event period will further combine the 'Trendy Taipei' series of music and cultural activities, allowing participants to listen to trends during the day and shop at night, immersing themselves in the rhythm of a city where technology and art dance together.

First Leg: FinTech Leads the Way: FinTechOn 2025 × AFA Summit (9/1–9/2)

Organized by the Taiwan Financial Technology Association and guided by the National Development Council, 'FinTechOn 2025' will take place on September 1–2 at the Shangri-La Taipei Far Eastern Hotel. The theme focuses on 'FinTech × New Global Supply Chain Landscape', with an agenda spanning regulatory policies, cross-border payments, digital assets, and blockchain applications.

Peter Kerstens, a major proponent of the EU (Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets) (MiCA) and dubbed the 'Godfather of MiCA', will be present to discuss international regulatory trends with leaders from Japan's Cabinet Office, Abu Dhabi Financial Center, and former senior officials from Hong Kong's regulatory authority.

Representatives from 15 economies in the Asian Financial Technology Alliance will also gather in Taipei to engage in policy dialogue. AFA Chairperson Tsai Yu-Ling emphasized: 'FinTech is key to upgrading the supply chain; Taiwan must strive for leadership and become the core hub of Asian financial technology.'

Second Leg: Blockchain's Decade Milestone: TBS Annual Conference Focuses on a New Future of Decentralization and Compliance (9/2–9/3)

Entering its tenth year, the Blockchain Enthusiasts Annual Conference (TBS) is themed 'deX', symbolizing the spirit of decentralized exchanges and a decade of cross-industry transformation. The forum is divided into four main sessions, comprehensively exploring the integration of Web3 with traditional finance, from digital asset applications, anti-fraud and anti-money laundering, to combating virtual crime, RWA (Real World Assets on-chain), and trust governance.

The lineup of heavyweight speakers includes Wilson Cheung, Binance's Asia-Pacific Compliance Officer, and leaders from on-chain monitoring giants Chainalysis, Japanese financial institutions, and startups, who will bring international experience and practical dialogue. The event will also feature a workshop on 'Digital Trust Governance' to delve into technologies such as DID, verifiable credentials, and DAO.

The chairman of the organizing committee, Gao Qi-Jun, stated: 'We started from the entrepreneurial community and are now moving towards a bridge of institutional innovation. Blockchain is no longer just an ideal; it is a reality that is happening.'

Third Leg: The Grand Finale: Taipei Blockchain Week (TBW) Combines AI, Culture, and International Community (9/4–9/6)

With the theme 'Onboard AI', Taipei Blockchain Week will unfold across the entire Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, expanding to five major exhibition areas, focusing on regulatory discussions, innovative experiments, and international community connections. TBW not only invites heavyweight projects like Pudgy Penguins, TRON, BNB, Mastercard but also local enterprises such as Taiwan Mobile to participate.

The official mascot 'You Qian Hua' will be launched during the event, symbolizing that everyone can take root and bear fruit in Web3. From immersive experience halls, live podcast shows, to night markets and themed avenues, creating a blockchain lifestyle festival that the entire city can participate in.

Taipei Blockchain Week curator Lai Ya-Ning stated: 'We want to enable the next generation and businesses to keep up with the rapid evolution of blockchain and AI; this is not just a forum but a rehearsal for future living.'

A Model of Urban Co-Creation: Technology and Trends Go Hand in Hand, Taipei Moves Toward a New Vision Similar to SXSW

As the three major forums jointly launch, it coincides with the enthusiastic kick-off of the 'Trendy Taipei' series of activities, including street music, art markets, and night performances, allowing participants to experience the city's rhythm of 'discussing trends during the day and exploring culture at night.'

Yu Zhen-Hua, Executive Director of the Taipei City Government's International Affairs Committee, stated: 'We hope that in the future, like SXSW, technology, music, and creativity will converge in Taipei, creating a comprehensive international event.'
