Big news in the crypto world! The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially received an application from BlackRock to allow staking in its Ethereum (ETH) spot ETF.
This means BlackRock wants to give investors a way to earn rewards (called "staking") by holding Ethereum through an ETF. Earlier this year, ETF expert Nate Geraci said that ETH staking in ETFs would happen no matter what.
Now, under U.S. President Donald Trump’s leadership, experts believe this process might move faster.
This is a big step for Ethereum and could open more doors for crypto investors.
