(Photo from my VPN (I use Surfshark) about a Binance leaking incident and the number of exposed accounts in which they leaked info. Was: Emails, Alternative emails and passwords) THIS DOESN'T ONLY MEAN that #Binance it's not safe, it can also mean that the emails used to create accounts were hacked or the accounts you created had a poor security, and guys... The security of your own accounts it's up to you!! You're the one in charge! On the other hand, yes, it could had happened that Binance has been hacked as Ledger wallet was once. PLEASE #dyor ⚠️

Hi people! 👋🏼 Usagi here. I hope you're doing well and safe. As a cybersecurity expert I'll be shearing from now on tips & tricks on how to keep you safe from hackers, scammers, etc. In these days, cybercrime has been increasing brutally because of AI ( I'll make a post on AI later ) but as I like to refer sometimes to it, AI it's the smart (or not) cousin of your phone predictive text. So now sometimes it's as easy as asking to an AI ( don't toast me 🤣 I'll use a very simple example so everyone can understand my point) : Let's say that you tell the IA that your wallet has been hacked and you can't get in. Probably it will answer that you can get in with your seed prhase, and then you can replay that you don't have it, that you only have your account details and ask for help, probably it will keep giving you legal ways to solve the problem but if you know what to say and it ends up against a wall it'll give you information or even an illegal way to get in. Having said this, here are my #CyberSecurity tips:

  1. Use 2 phones, one for trading and one for everyday. If you can't afford a second phone, check out if you have a Secure Area from settings, on smartphones tipically refers to a dedicated space of featured o isolate and protect sensitive data or apps from unauthorized access. Search for the native security system in your phone, see some Tube videos and get the most out of it.

  2. This goes if you have one or two phones and for your computer:

💚 Get a good VPN ( pay for it so you can get support any time and make sure you don't get a virus with the fake one!!)

💚Get a good antivirus (please, pay one too, the best you can afford, for the same reasons above).

  3. Accounts and apps security 🔒: 🔗Use a strong pass🔑 and by strong I mean: Characters, letters, numbers and up and low caps combined.

🔗 Don't use a full word in the pass because it'll be easier to dechiper it.

🔗 Make it more than 12 characters if it lets you.

🔗 If you can afford it, buy a token key. (Even if you do, write everything down in paper and save it at home)

🔗Make sure to add 2F authenticators (e-mail and phone number must be a must!! Why?? Because you can open you email from another device and get and SMS on your phone). Chose 2 or 3, I know it can be a pain in the head but you'll thank yourself later.

🔑Biometric authentication, app authenticator (like Google), email check and phone check.

  4. From time to time check in your VPN or antivirus service if there was any leak from you emails accounts. Most of them come with that service and it's really helpful!! 💥

  5. If you have a VPN like me, every time you visit a web site it will tell you if it has been hacked, information leaked, when it was the incident, etc.

  6. If you use you PC 💻, make sure to use one browser to trade and another to everyday. For example, use Opera to trade and Chrome for everyday things.

  7. I recommend that you create two users in your PC, one that you'll only use to trade, the other for everything else. Why? Because while one user ( let's say, your everyday user) can get compromised, your trading user will not as long as you set it properly 😊.

THANKS FOR READING!! 💜 Have a safe trading!! 👋🏼
