"Altseason" (short for "altcoin season") is a period in the cryptocurrency market when altcoins (any cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin) significantly outperform Bitcoin in terms of price appreciation. It's characterized by a rapid and widespread surge in the prices of most altcoins.
