I am 30 years old this year, entered the cryptocurrency market at 19, starting with a borrowed capital of 60,000. By last year, my assets had exceeded 8 digits!
Having been in the cryptocurrency market for ten years and trading for six years, that's over 3100 days. I have done long-term, short-term, ultra-short, and swing trading; I have tried almost every type of method, so I have a say on this issue. I have always said that mastering a skill requires the 10,000-hour rule—8 hours a day, over 200 days a year of review—almost 5 years, and this is just the beginning, the foundation for stable profit. There will definitely be major pitfalls within ten years, so to be safe, do not invest more than your capacity within that timeframe. Many experts who have traded from tens of thousands to hundreds of millions have only done so by using very high leverage on contracts. As a result, many have perished during a bear market, but you just don’t know about it. Human nature, in the face of major trends, often leads people to lose the ability to make correct judgments.
To return to the main topic, I would like to share with everyone here:
It is very difficult to change others in the cryptocurrency market, and it is also very difficult to change oneself; but only by changing oneself can there be hope! Changing others is hard, changing oneself is hard; but only by changing oneself can there be hope. The financial market never has 'what ifs'; it only looks at results! If we cannot achieve results in cryptocurrency trading, we must have done something wrong; if we can consistently achieve results, we must have done something right—it's that simple. Our mindset affects our daily actions, and our daily actions lead to the final results. Losing money is not scary; what is scary is not finding the true cause of the loss and not having the determination to change immediately, as that can help us turn losses into profits. We cannot ignore problems, avoid problems, or fail to address problems head-on; that is the most terrifying thing. Everything has cause and effect: plant good seeds, reap good fruits; plant bad seeds, reap bad fruits. Our current situation stems entirely from every decision we made before. Regardless of whether the outcome is good or bad, we must bear it. In the adult world, once a choice is made, even if it is wrong, we have to walk through it on our knees. When it comes to the final result corresponding to each person, we must be able to accept and face it calmly. In the adult world, we must not pretend that the process was very hard, because the final result will not accompany us in acting. We must learn to reflect and summarize regularly; continue to improve the good, and change the bad immediately. Given time, we will all get better. Trading in the cryptocurrency market is the same; we must abandon the mentality of luck, abandon the desire for quick riches or speculation, and abandon every transaction that is beyond our capacity and understanding. Before every transaction, we should ask ourselves honestly if we truly understand it, if we have a solid basis for the trading decision, if we have prepared a strategy and risk control system, and if we can accept failure, etc.! Truly clarifying our abilities is an essential element for us to be qualified investors. As long as we want to change, any time is just right!
The essence of trading is: cut losses when wrong, hold when right.
