🇺🇸 US SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY SCOTT BESSENT SAID THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS NOT RUSHING TO APPOINT A NEW FED CHAIR TO REPLACE JEROME POWELL.

🔹 In an interview with Bloomberg TV, he said: “We are starting this process. Clearly, this will be a decision for President Trump, and we are not in a hurry.”

🔹 Mr. Powell's current term as Fed Chair will end in May 2026.

🔹 However, he will continue to serve as a Fed governor until January 2028.
