$DOGE : The 'silence' after the breakthrough, is it brewing or a conclusion?
In the early morning, I increased my positions in DOGE and PEPE on other accounts, planning to hold them for a relatively longer period, so I isolated my accounts to clearly distinguish between swing trading and trend holding. Looking at it now, the trend in the MEME sector indeed seems a bit 'abnormal'.
DOGE was the first to complete a technical breakthrough, but the market did not rally as quickly as expected, instead repeatedly consolidating above the key resistance zone. Unlike the straightforward breakouts followed by strong rallies seen in previous major coins like ETH and SOL, DOGE's move appears particularly 'restrained'.
This often indicates two possibilities:
The car is too heavy: Retail investors entered early, leading to insufficient buying power after the breakout, and the main players need to clear floating positions;
Waiting for news: The main players might be waiting for external events to align, such as BTC completing a structural attack, or key figures like Musk signaling.
In comparison, WIF and PEPE have a more 'clean' posture; WIF has been oscillating around the resistance zone but remains generally strong; as long as it breaks out with volume, it could lead to a significant market movement; PEPE is also close to the breakout zone, already showing a structure ready to launch.
In such situations, operational strategies need to be adjusted:
Breakout chasing: This kind of trend is not waiting for faith but for 'ignition'. Taking small positions for breakouts, with flexible allocations, makes it easier to seize swing opportunities;
DOGE holders: Don't blindly take profits, and don't rush to increase positions; adding to your holdings should wait for clear pullback confirmations of support or a second breakout;
Position isolation is very important: The logic of long-term and short-term is different; once emotions become mixed, it is easy to make wrong choices at critical junctures.
In summary: DOGE's temporary silence is not necessarily a failure, it could also be a prelude to a larger market movement. The real explosion point of the MEME sector is approaching.
