Why do so many people still play contracts knowing they could get liquidated?
In a nutshell: the returns are too quick, the profits are too high, and there are always those willing to take the risk.
For example, in reality, you might earn 8,000 yuan a month, which takes a long time and involves high intensity. But in the contract market —
You take a 5,000 yuan principal, use 50x leverage, and as long as the market fluctuates by just 1%, you could double your money in a few minutes. In the crypto world, such 1-2% fluctuations are practically routine.
Whether it's ORD or SOL, or even BTC, when emotions run high, a few percentage points up or down is like a plunge.
During extreme market conditions, contracts are not trading; they are purely a gamble.
What truly captivates people is the illusion of “infinite compounding”:
Turning 5,000 into 10,000 is 100%,
Turning 10,000 into 20,000 is also 100%,
20,000 becomes 40,000, and 40,000 becomes 80,000…
You think it’s just ordinary profit, but in reality, wealth is expanding exponentially.
If you take 50,000 for spot trading, a 1% increase only nets you 500,
But if I open a contract with 50x leverage, a 1% move means 25,000 in my account.
In the same round of market conditions, the outcomes can be vastly different.
But many people overlook one point:
The true experts who survive in the market never have only one account.
They manage risk while following trends, and at the same time, take small positions for short-term trades.
When you see someone’s small account has multiplied by 10 times, there’s actually a larger position backing it for defense.
Making quick money relies on luck, but making money over the long term relies on a system.
At the beginning of June, I took a small account of 300 USDT and steadily grew it to 7,500 USDT — it wasn’t about reckless trading, but about waiting, reviewing, and having risk control in place.
When the market is right, you go in; when it’s uncertain, you withdraw.
If you also want to trade contracts, don’t want to rely on luck, and don’t want to act impulsively,
you can come and discuss — I will share a set of strategies that “can survive and can earn.”
I won’t boast about getting rich quickly, just sharing practical experience.
