Since entering Web3, I have always believed that 'connection experience' is the core factor affecting user retention, and @WalletConnect is the ultimate solution to this problem.
From 2018 to today, it has evolved from merely a 'scan-to-login' tool to a foundational communication protocol for the entire Web3 world, featuring cross-chain support, end-to-end encryption, and seamless experience, which have made me prioritize products that support #WalletConnect across different public chain ecosystems.
The launch of $WCT represents its official evolution from a 'functional protocol' to a 'community-driven, sustainably incentivized decentralized network.' It symbolizes governance rights and serves as a bridge for value circulation among developers, nodes, and users.
I believe the current core advantages of #WalletConnect are:
1⃣ Strong ecological foundation (billions of connections, covering 600+ wallets and tens of thousands of applications)
2⃣ Clear decentralized path design (including staking mechanisms and voting systems)
3⃣ Steady rhythm, transparent airdrops, participation from top nodes (such as ConsenSys, Ledger, etc.)
Of course, it also faces significant challenges, especially in terms of token release transparency and market education, where there is room for improvement. However, in the long run, #WalletConnect is likely to become a new standard for user experience in Web3, with $WCT being an important engine driving all of this.
For those who genuinely believe in the infrastructure of Web3, the long-term potential of such assets is worth serious study.
