🧩 Who really created #DOGE ? A story few know!
It was December 2013. Bitcoin was just beginning to capture the attention of the general public. But at the same time, somewhere deep in the internet, a coin was being born out of pure irony.
An office programmer from Adobe — Jackson Palmer — was tired of the hype in the crypto industry. He wrote a sarcastic post on Twitter:
" Invest in #Dogecoin — this is definitely the next big thing. I believe in it."
The post featured an image: a Shiba Inu dog with a comical face and the caption “such wow”.
But the joke went further than he expected…
On the other side of the globe, in the USA, programmer Billy Markus (whose real name is now shrouded in mystery) saw this tweet… and decided to turn the joke into reality. He used the Litecoin code, changed the logo, and… DOGECOIN was born!
The first cryptocurrency with a meme instead of a mission, with irony instead of a white paper. No goal, no investors, no promises — just fun and internet chaos.
But here’s what happened next — no one expected it.
In 2021, thanks to Elon Musk's tweets, DOGE exploded in the crypto space, turning millions of jokesters into millionaires.
Doge is the cryptocurrency of the people - declared Musk!
