Binance Made a Change for 5 Altcoins It Lists: They Are No Longer Risky!
The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has made a significant change by removing 5 altcoins from the risky category on its platform.
Following its periodic token reviews, Binance decided to remove the Seed label for 5 altcoins as of July 21, 2025. According to the announcement; Bonk ($BONK ), EigenLayer ($EIGEN ), ether.fi (ETHFI), Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), and Pepe ($PEPE ) will no longer carry the Seed label.
The exchange previously used the Seed label for new and innovative projects to warn investors that these projects could carry high volatility and risk. The removal of the Seed label is interpreted as a sign that the mentioned altcoins have passed their initial stage and are now seen as more stable and reliable by Binance.
Binance conducts detailed reviews of the altcoins on its platform at specific intervals. During this evaluation process, criteria such as the project team's commitment to the project, the level and quality of development activities, trading volume, liquidity status, network security level, quality of communication with the community, and transparency are taken into consideration. Additionally, factors such as the speed of responses to Binance's regular review requests, the presence of unethical activities, sudden changes in supply or tokenomics, changes in project management or the core team, community sentiment, and new regulatory requirements are also considered.
Binance stated that this label change will not affect the other operations of the relevant altcoins on the platform.
